A motor banca operator has three obligations that all point at the same list: a manifest for safety, correct discounted fares for the law, and a cash count for the business. Most operators keep the first on a clipboard, the second in the ticket seller's head, and the third in a cigarette pack of folded notes. BangkaDesk PH puts all three on one voyage record.

The manifest is the record

Every passenger is a ticket row against the voyage, with a name, age, passenger type and whether they actually boarded.

Passengers boarded counts only those marked Boarded, so a no-show does not inflate the count, and seats left is measured against the vessel's registered capacity.

Discounts stop being a debate

The route carries a base fare and a discounted fare. A ticket marked Discounted picks up the lower fare automatically, and terminal fees are added from the same route.

That removes the two most common fare errors at a small port: charging a senior full fare, and a ticket seller quietly rounding a fare up.

Cargo is weight times a rate

Cargo is booked against the voyage with a shipper, consignee, description and weight. The rate per kilo comes from the route, so the charge follows the weight.

Shippers who pay later are handled by cargo payments, and the unsettled balance is on the dashboard rather than in a memory.

Papers and margin

Vessel permits and crew licences carry expiry dates, and each reads OK, Renew soon or expired. An expired permit is a voyage that should not sail.

Voyage margin then subtracts fuel, crew duty pay and port and handling expenses from the fares and cargo, so a crossing that only looked busy can be told apart from one that paid.

Review exceptions every week

Resolve duplicate IDs, missing links, overdue balances, negative amounts, and open operational items in CHECKS before using the dashboard for decisions.
