Key takeaways
- Cost is measured per sellable piece.
- Every price tier has a live unsold count.
- Unpaid mine orders surface by due date.
- Each bale reports its own profit and sell-through.
An ukay-ukay business is bought by the bale and sold by the piece, which is why it is easy to feel profitable and hard to prove it. A bale of Korean tops might cost ₱6,800 delivered, yield two hundred sellable pieces, and sell over four weeks at three different prices, half in the shop and half through live selling. UkayDesk PH keeps the bale as the unit of profit and attaches every piece sold to it.
Cost per sellable piece
The bale records its price, freight, pieces counted and rejects. Cost per piece divides the total cost by the pieces you can actually sell.
That figure is the floor under every tag price, and it shows at once when a cheap bale turned expensive after the rejects were pulled.
Tiers and markdowns
Each bale is split into price tiers with the pieces tagged at each price. Store sales and mine orders draw pieces from a tier, and pieces unsold is what should still be on the rack.
Moving slow pieces to a cheaper tier is recorded as a markdown, and its price cut shows how much selling value the move gave away.
Mine orders that actually get paid
Every mine from a live becomes an order with a buyer, a tier, shipping and a payment due date. Payments by GCash, Maya or cash reduce its balance.
Unpaid orders past their due date read Overdue, so joy reservers become a list with names rather than pieces missing from the rack.
Profit per bale
The bale profit report adds the store and online sales of every tier in the bale, then subtracts its cost and any laundry or repair expense tagged to it.
Cost recovered and sell-through percentages show whether a bale has paid for itself, is still recovering, or is a slow bale to think twice about buying again.
