Key takeaways
- Sale lines move stock, so nothing is deducted twice.
- Every sale carries its own cost and margin.
- Utang sales are settled only by recorded payments.
- Credit limits are checked per suki, not per sale.
A sari-sari store rarely fails because sales are slow. It fails because the utang notebook grows faster than the cash box, and because nobody knows which items are actually earning. SariDesk PH keeps the same two records a tindahan already keeps, the stock and the listahan, but connects them so that a sale reduces stock, records its own cost, and lands in the right suki's ledger.
Let the sale lines move the stock
Every sale is one row, and the items in it are lines under that row. On hand is opening stock plus deliveries, minus what the lines sold, minus what was written off as spoilage or breakage.
That means nobody has to remember to deduct stock. Recording the sale is the deduction, and the reorder list updates itself as the day goes.
Know the margin, not just the takings
Each line carries the item's unit cost, so a sale of five kilos of rice and a can of sardines has a cost total as well as a sale total. The difference is the gross margin for that sale.
This is the number that explains why a busy day can still end with a thin cash box: high sales on low-margin items look the same in a notebook, but not here.
Put the listahan under a credit limit
A sale is marked Cash or Utang. A cash sale is settled the moment it is recorded. An utang sale is settled only by the payments recorded against it, so its balance is always current.
Each suki gets a credit limit. The customer ledger totals their utang, their payments, and their balance, then reads Within limit or Over limit before you hand over more goods.
Read the exceptions before restocking
The checks catch duplicate sale identifiers, lines pointing at a sale or an item that does not exist, and any sale collected beyond its own total.
The dashboard shows items to reorder, sales value, gross margin, utang outstanding, and collections less expenses, which is the honest picture of what the store kept.
Review exceptions every week
Resolve duplicate IDs, missing links, overdue balances, negative amounts, and open operational items in CHECKS before using the dashboard for decisions.

Frequently asked questions
Can I sell at a different price than the listed one?
Yes. Unit price is entered on the sale line, so tingi and bulk prices can differ while the item's cost stays the reference for margin.
What happens when a suki goes over the credit limit?
The customer ledger marks the row Over limit. Nothing is blocked; the sheet only shows you the situation before you decide.
Does it handle e-load and bills payment?
You can list them as items and record the sale, but there is no connection to any load or bills payment platform.
Does this replace official records?
No. No BIR receipts, sales invoices or tax filing, no barcode scanner or cash drawer hardware, no supplier ordering, no e-load or bills payment platform connection, no credit scoring, and no automatic reminders to customers.
