In the Philippines the Christmas season starts in September, and by December every office, barangay and family is planning a party. Pinoy Christmas Quiz & Word Games is a 10-page printable quiz and word games pack that takes most of the preparation off your plate. Forty Pinoy Christmas trivia questions plus a crossword, a scramble and a word search.

What is inside

The pack has a host guide, 2 pages of trivia quiz, a crossword, a word scramble, a word search and a team scoreboard. The games are Pinoy Christmas Trivia, Crossword, Pasko Word Scramble and Noche Buena Word Search. An answer key at the back is for the host only. Everything is in English with Filipino where it feels natural, the way most Pinoy parties actually sound.

How to run the games

Start with the host guide on page 2: it lists every game with the number of players, the time it takes, the page to print and a prize idea, plus a sample program you can follow minute by minute.

Tips from the host's table

  • Print a few extra game sheets for late arrivals.
  • Pick one host and give them the answer key and the host pages.
  • Print cards and certificates on cardstock so they survive the whole party.

Who it is for

It is made for whoever is hosting: the emcee, the committee or the tita who volunteered to run the games. Nothing needs to be prepared beyond printing, pens and a few small prizes.

Keep the energy up

Alternate a loud game with a quiet one. Bingo and the card games work for a big crowd, while the word games and quizzes are perfect while the food is being prepared or the program is running late. Announce the scores between games so every team stays in the race until the last round.

Printing

The file is an A4 PDF of 10 pages, a quick, focused set. Print at home or bring it to a computer shop on your phone. Use cardstock for anything that will be handed out, held up or kept, and plain bond paper for game sheets. You can print it as many times as you need for your own event.
