New Year's Eve in the Philippines is noisy, round-fruited and full of traditions, and the hours before midnight need filling. New Year's Eve Party Games is a 16-page printable party games pack that takes most of the preparation off your plate. Countdown-night games: bingo, trivia, icebreakers, word games and awards.

What is inside

The pack has a host guide, a bingo host sheet, 2 pages of bingo cards, a Find Someone Who page, a word scramble, a word search, Act · Draw · Describe cards, Would You Rather? cards, a top 5 survey game, a trivia quiz, award certificates and a team scoreboard. The games are New Year Bingo, Find Someone Who…, Bagong Taon Word Scramble, Media Noche Word Search, Act · Draw · Describe, Would You Rather?, Top 5 Survey Game and Pinoy New Year Trivia. An answer key at the back is for the host only. Everything is in English with Filipino where it feels natural, the way most Pinoy parties actually sound.

How to run the games

Start with the host guide on page 2: it lists every game with the number of players, the time it takes, the page to print and a prize idea, plus a sample program you can follow minute by minute.

Tips from the host's table

  • Plan small prizes for each game: chocolates, keychains or e-wallet load work well.
  • Print a few extra game sheets for late arrivals.
  • Print cards and certificates on cardstock so they survive the whole party.

Who it is for

It is made for whoever is hosting: the emcee, the committee or the tita who volunteered to run the games. Nothing needs to be prepared beyond printing, pens and a few small prizes.

Keep the energy up

Alternate a loud game with a quiet one. Bingo and the card games work for a big crowd, while the word games and quizzes are perfect while the food is being prepared or the program is running late. Announce the scores between games so every team stays in the race until the last round.

Printing

The file is an A4 PDF of 16 pages, a full party-sized pack. Print at home or bring it to a computer shop on your phone. Use cardstock for anything that will be handed out, held up or kept, and plain bond paper for game sheets. You can print it as many times as you need for your own event.
