10 words, each with a clue and letter tiles revealed one click at a time. This guide walks through what a good guess the word presentation covers, slide by slide, and how to prepare it quickly with an editable PowerPoint template.

Who this is for

Teachers make slides every week on top of lesson plans, records and paperwork. A ready deck that already follows a familiar classroom flow saves an evening of formatting and leaves more time for the learners.

How the game works

The deck opens with a title and a how-to-play slide. Every tile and button jumps to the right slide, answers appear only when you click, and mouse clicks elsewhere do nothing, so a stray click never skips ahead. There are 13 linked slides.

How to edit it in five steps

  1. Open the .pptx in Microsoft PowerPoint and pick a colour version.
  2. In Normal view, click each question and answer and type your own.
  3. Save, then start the slideshow with F5.
  4. Use only the on-screen buttons to move around; a stray click never skips a question.
  5. Keep score on the board or type the scores on the scoreboard slide between rounds.

Tips before you present

  • Edit the sample questions and examples in Normal view the night before class.
  • Run the slideshow once to check every button and timer before your learners arrive.
  • Keep text big: learners at the back of the room should read every word.
  • Use the speaker notes for answers and reminders so they stay off the screen.
  • Save a copy per section or grade level so you can reuse the deck next school year.
