Paper crafts give children something to show and play with when they are done. Cut and Paste Shapes is a 14-page printable pack for toddlers ages 2 to 3.

What is inside

The pack has 6 cut-out pieces and 5 paste scenes. Page titles include “Cut out the shapes”, “Build a house”, “Build a rocket”, “Build a robot” and “Build a boat”. Instructions are written in English with a Filipino line underneath, so kids and parents can use whichever language is easier.

Covers and headers are in full color, but every activity area is black line art on white, so the pages print cleanly in grayscale and do not waste ink.

Skills it builds

Working through the pages practices cutting and shapes. Each page takes about 5 to 10 minutes, which suits the attention span of toddlers ages 2 to 3.

How to use it

  • Follow the legend: dashed lines are for cutting, solid lines for folding.
  • Use child-safe scissors and help with the small cuts.
  • Color before cutting; it is much easier.
  • Sit beside your child and do the first page together.

Ideas beyond the page

Put on a small show with the finished masks or puppets. Use the crafts as party favors or classroom decorations.

Who it is for

Toddlers learn through short bursts of play, so the pages use big shapes, thick outlines and almost no reading. At 14 pages, this is a short mini pack, good for a week of practice or a single weekend. Parents can use it for homeschool or after-school practice, and teachers can print it for one classroom.

Printing tips

The file is an A4 PDF. Choose “Fit to page” and print one-sided; black-and-white is fine for the activity pages. Use thicker paper (120 gsm or cartolina) for anything that will be cut, folded or displayed. At a computer shop, bring the PDF on your phone or a USB drive. You can print the whole pack or only the pages you need, as many times as you like for your own children or your own classroom.
