Curiosity grows fastest when worksheet facts connect to things a child can observe outside. Butterfly Life Cycle is a 14-page printable pack for kids in Grades 1 to 3.

What is inside

The pack has 2 life cycle, 1 fact sheet, 1 vocabulary, 1 matching and 1 fill in the blanks. Page titles include “Fast Facts”, “Life Cycle of a Butterfly”, “Words to Know”, “Fill in the Blanks” and “Life Cycle of a Butterfly: Quiz”. An answer key at the back makes checking quick. Instructions are written in English with a Filipino line underneath, so kids and parents can use whichever language is easier.

Covers and headers are in full color, but every activity area is black line art on white, so the pages print cleanly in grayscale and do not waste ink.

Skills it builds

Working through the pages practices life cycles and sequencing. Each page takes about 15 to 20 minutes, which suits the attention span of kids in Grades 1 to 3.

How to use it

  • Keep a simple notebook of questions your child asks while working.
  • Say the science words aloud and use them in a sentence.
  • Let your child teach you the diagram after completing it.
  • Let your child read the instructions first, then check the first answer together.

Ideas beyond the page

Do a tiny experiment at home: grow a mongo seed in wet cotton, or watch ice melt. Watch a short documentary on the topic together and compare it with the pages.

Who it is for

Early graders can follow written instructions and enjoy finishing a page on their own, with an adult nearby to check. At 14 pages, this is a short mini pack, good for a week of practice or a single weekend. Parents can use it for homeschool or after-school practice, and teachers can print it for one classroom.

Printing tips

The file is an A4 PDF. Choose “Fit to page” and print one-sided; black-and-white is fine for the activity pages. At a computer shop, bring the PDF on your phone or a USB drive. You can print the whole pack or only the pages you need, as many times as you like for your own children or your own classroom.
